Measuring & Diagnostics Engineer
As Measuring & Diagnostics (M&D) Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out measurement campaigns onboard our newly built and existing vessels for our customers. The purpose of these campaigns is, for example, to determine the performance of a system or to troubleshoot a problem. Typical measurements include a combination of the dredge production system, vibration and noise, and shaft power measurements. You will be responsible for the successful execution of a campaign, from early contact with the internal or external customer, through to the preparation and execution of the measurements onboard, as well as analysis and reporting. The M&D team offers interesting technical challenges and works closely with the Condition Monitoring team.
To be eligible for the vacancy of Measuring & Diagnostics Engineer, you must have:
- previous experience as an engineer with a secondary (MBO) level of education or a starting engineer with a higher vocational level of education (HBO) in mechanical engineering, marine engineering or another relevant technical discipline
- affinity for diagnostics, measurements and the analysis of (mechanical) issues and maritime equipment
- hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills
- ability to work onboard vessels, as well as in our offices
- service-minded, proactive, creative and flexible attitude
- strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- ability to work in Kinderdijk, The Netherlands as well to travel abroad on a regular base
- interest in condition monitoring and the desire to be trained in this area.
